Overview

CO-OP Financial Services is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager, in our National Sales department. This position is a remote opportunity. We are looking for someone to cover the Eastern US territory.

The primary job function responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager is sales, with responsibility of managing all aspects of Business Development within geographic assignments; including initiating contact with credit unions and affiliated organizations for developing new business, cultivating and maintaining relationships with prospective clients, and meeting with prospective clients to explain products, services, costs, and the advantages of CO-OP Financial Services.

What your day will look like:

  • Create and implement Strategic Business Plan that actively promotes and communicates CO-OP Financial Services products and services via sales calls, board presentations, staff presentations, chapter meetings, vendor nights, alliance partners and any other activity or event that may arise or as directed by management. Produces professional presentation materials to support this effort. Coordinate successful hand off of new clients to National Relationship Managers and Network Implementation.
  • Markets CO-OP Financial Services products and services by calling on strategic member and non-member credit unions and affiliated organizations.
  • Participates in various conventions, trade shows, vendor nights, and related functions to showcase CO-OP Financial Services products and services and nurture relationships to offer support to existing clients.
  • Produces credit union cost proformas based on credit union profiles and product profiles.
  • Coordinates the sales process, from proposal through the contract phase. Initiates the hand-off between the sales and implementation teams.
  • Assists Relationship Managers with responsibility for the management of strategic clients.
  • Provides feedback to the membership, product and marketing departments concerning client needs and product strategy.

 

Qualifications

This position requires 7 years successful previous Sales or Marketing experience in EFT along with a Financial Institution background in, marketing, account management or member services.  College degree in marketing, business or related field preferred.

 

To perform this job successfully, the Regional Sales Manager must be able to take own initiative and possess the ability to problem solve and work independently.  Must have excellent communication, organizational skills and proven leadership skills.  This position requires extensive travel (approximately 60%). Incumbent must have vehicle, auto insurance, and a valid driver's license.
