Overview

CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a Database Administrator III to analyze and evaluate reported problems, take responsibility for resolution, and prevent recurrence.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and evaluate reported problems, take responsibility for resolution, and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop, implement, administer, and maintain, logical and physical data models to support business, performance, reliability, and security requirements.
  • Develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, and support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; complete maintenance requirements
  • Install revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommend optimum access techniques; coordinate installation requirements
  • Pro-actively manage database Performance Tuning and Optimization
  • Develop and implement database business continuity plans and procedures
  • Create new databases, tables, views, indexes, scheduled jobs, triggers, logins, etc. based on system specifications
  • Tune data warehouse and other database systems for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Perform index and statistics maintenance
  • Develop, implement, administer, and maintain operational automation scripting
  • Maintain technical documentation related for the database systems and processes.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend escalation support as required
  • Coach, train and mentor other employees on proper access and use of database systems.

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Database Administration and Database Analysis managing multiple servers across differenct geographic locations.
  • Required Certification: Microsoft Certified Solutions (MCSA) for SQL Server.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from a four-year colloege or university preferred.
  • Preferred Experience: Hadoop, Cassandra, Oracle, PostGreSQL
  • Preferred Certification: MicroSoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) for SQL Server.
  • Advanced knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL, MS SQL Server 2008 R2-2016, networking concepts and database design and development.
  • Programming knowledge in the following languages: Transact-SQL (T-SQL), Powershell, C#.NET, VB.NET.
  • Must have fundamental software development methodologies, design and implementation and knowledge of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
  • We are looking for someone with advanced knowledge of databse backup concepts, query optimization, and data security.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to write fully optimized Transact-SQL for various scripts and stored procedures.
