  • Overview

    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Product Manager to be responsible for making recommendations on and executing on product strategy, go-to-market strategy, ongoing growth and life cycle management of individual service for Teller and Branch Automation Products.

    What your day will look like:

    • Participate in market analysis process for new products/services to determine customer needs, industry direction, competitive product and market positioning and overall product strategy – including documentation of market assessment, competitive threats/intelligence, issues and opportunities with extending credit union services, and creating and executing on a compelling product vision and roadmap.
    • Working with Sales and Marketing departments compile competitive analysis of existing product offerings to evaluate and refine product positioning and value proposition.
    • Work with product teams to develop business plan, including making recommendations on product strategy, life cycle management, pricing; costs, revenue forecasts; capital costs, profit.
    • Analyze and define roles and responsibilities of all ecosystem players, distribution channel alternatives and develop go-to-market strategies that diversify/grow and/or simplify sales and ultimately provide a superior customer experience.
    • Manage the product development and product release cycle including defining requirements, documentation, resource mgmt, issue management, system integration, testing compliance, product launch and implementation.
    • Provide management with budget information needed to ensure compliance with assessment while maintaining requirements for the product description.
    • Work with development teams, 3rd-party vendors, associations, and customer care teams to define launch Plans. Act as single interface with development and operations and sales development teams.
    • Identify and interpret customer/stakeholder needs and translate feedback and user testing results into feature/functionality requirements.
    • Manage product delivery programs to ensure Sales, Product Development, Operations and Service Delivery all play their part in the successful launch of a product or service.
    • Provide strategic support for sales and marketing post launch through technical and market training, customer meetings, demonstrations, and event support.
    • Drive product evolution and make recommendations for customer segmentation strategies -- evaluating product enhancements and customer change requests against strategic product direction and target markets.
    • Work with management and marketing to develop and maintain product descriptions and sales collateral content; create and maintain white papers, case studies, value propositions, customer presentations; assist with programs and product packaging/service bundling to enhance/maintain revenue.
    • Assist relationship managers and business development with resolution of issues for key clients driving client satisfaction toward corporate objectives.
    • Attend industry trade shows and Product conference calls as needed with travel as needed. 


    • Minimum of 4 years product management or development, implementation and support experience with an emphasis on payments systems and the credit union industry.
    • Must have a professional background in strategic and tactical systems integration, and technology development and strong experience in customer facing roles, including requirements capture, product assessment and planning, and ongoing customer feedback. Bachelor's degree or university program certificate in business or related field and ten years related experience preferred. 
    • Expert level of understanding related to payments in general with a strong understanding of product management and ability to communicate effectively about key EFT Payments and emerging market trends.
    • We are looking for someone with experience with Teller and Branch Automation.  ATM background is a plus.
    • Entreprenuerial personality and exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
    • Must have strong PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a demonstrated ability to lead others in technical environment – working directly as interface between marketing, sales, business development, training, client services and operations, and across all levels of management within the credit union and payments industry.
