Overview

CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Card Analyst to be responsible for managing, leading and performing the duties and activities associated with daily card operations. This position will also manage delivery of project activities to onboard new clients or enhance the credit card, debit card, or prepaid card product suite on the Canadian Card platform. This role will be responsible for developing and executing end to end use case testing associated with operational enhancements and/or project delivery.

  

Responsibilities:

 

  • Subject matter expert and lead for the Canadian card platform.
  • Prepares all the required documentation and submits to the necessary parties to implement new card products, enhance existing products for the Canadian platform or onboard new clients
  • Develops and tests end to end user test cases related to card platform.
  • Identify issues that may occur within the testing process and work to resolve the issues with the vendors in a timely manner to ensure critical project timelines are met.
  • Validates implementation in production ensuring card products are working as required.
  • Acts as the lead for testing and certification activities which may be required by vendors or third parties such as Visa and/or MasterCard.
  • Monitors and communicates card and insert inventory and prepare the change requests and submit for approval so that all inventory can be maintained at appropriate levels.
  • Develops, writes and manages associated procedures, manuals, documentation internally and externally.
  • Supports and/or sets up new clients, performs updates to existing clients on Artista software.
  • Leads coordinator and contact for third party Canadian card platform contacts.
  • Performs daily operational, or as required, reviews with card contacts to mitigate issues, maintain inventory levels
  • Mentors and coaches for the development of others and actively pursues opportunities for enhanced knowledge on Canadian platform and card systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Gemalto (including Artista) and First Data Resources (FDR), direct operational system modifications and clarification of system/PCF settings.
  • Experience with Statement processing, plastics production, product control settings and reports management.
  • Working knowledge and experience in user testing and testing methodologies.
  • Experience in issue identification and resolution in a card processing or financial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in solving complex business problems down to the root cause.
  • Ability to learn new processes and gain data understanding quickly.
  • Ability to work independently with some direction from senior members of the team.
  • Ability to write communication in both technical and user-oriented language.
  • Ability to troubleshoot business process changes, errors, and subsequent modifications while working with the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and documentation skills.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to maintain a level-headed and positive attitude in stressful situations.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced/often changing environment.
