CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Operations Manager to be responsible for the day to day management and caretaking of the Canadian card platform and all of the capabilities it deploys to enhance consumer loyalty through partner-branded consumer credit cards across Canada. Strong knowledge of the Canadian market and partnership with client-facing teams help the individual identify needs and manage solutions that deliver a sustainable competitive advantage. Delivering loyalty to brand partners across all touch points. In addition to knowledge of the Canadian consumer market, the candidate will bring expertise in working on credit card platforms. Experience in consumer credit card lending, business architecture, portfolio management, project planning and vendor management.




  • Define Daily Operational Tasks and engage where necessary to complete them or ensure they are being delivered through the team.
  • Create a strong workforce by developing competent individuals.
  • Collaborate with heads of other units to facilitate and perform work activities related to and co-ordinate client implementations; perform work activities; and develop best practices for successful implementations.
  • Project Support.
  • Assist or perform activities for writing manuals, platform documents, procedures, client communication, etc.







  • Post Secondary Degree, preferable in Business Administration or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the card or payment industry, Canadian financial and/or banking systems; regulatory environment; and emerging payment trends;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading, managing and coaching operational teams
  • Working knowledge of project management and use testing methodologies;
  • Highly organized – ideal candidate can skillfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and to switch gears as required
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work with partners across different functions and communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • A winning attitude – ideal candidate is a positive, team-oriented individual who exudes excitement about building a new company and working hard to drive product innovation in the Canadian marketplace
  • Ability to work at a detailed level and quickly learn business and/or technical application-specific details;
  • Strong orientation toward excellence in results and proven ability to quickly become a subject matter expert;
  • Communicates complex issues in a clear and understandable manner to others and proven presentation skills;
  • Capable of applying a professional knowledge, possessing a high level of problem solving, analytical abilities and negotiation skills;
  • Proven high level of proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint, etc).
