Overview

CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Sr. Training Specialist to be responsible for designing, developing and conducting technical and operational training programs for staff/clients.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze the business need and recommend, design, develop and deliver courses utilizing a full menu of delivery options: instructor-led, virtual classroom, webinar, e-learning, and blended learning solutions.
  • Delivery of Training Workshops and Onsite Training for new Credit Union clients.
  • Produce PowerPoint presentations, Captivate sessions, instructor guides, training manuals, job aids, and workbooks in accordance with departmental design standards.
  • Work closely with management, subject matter experts, and vendor/carrier representatives to identify and execute learning initiatives.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness and commit to continuous improvement, based on data.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to Training Specialists.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

 

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles. 
  • Microsoft Office Windows and Adobe (Captivate, Connect, Presenter) applications preferred. 
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially during client training visits. 
  • Must have the ability to explain technical concepts in understandable terms to a variety of audiences and to work independently, balance multiple tasks, and deliver accurate results, often within challenging time constraints. 
  • Proofread and edit own work and work of others to maintain quality, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation with a client-focused, highly motivated and self-starter attitude. 
  • Travel required as necessary to fulfill assignments. 
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), three years in same or related position; or Bachelor’s Degree may be used to substitute for one year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Internal candidates must have eighteen to twenty-four months as Training Specialist.  EFT, banking industry, ATM and/or POS knowledge preferred.
