Overview

 

CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Telecom Analyst to serve as the overall technical consultant for clients seeking to install, upgrade, or change their technical online authorization interfaces, telecommunications interfaces, and/or batch file transmission interfaces.  The individual will be responsible for the technical implementation of various applications related to the payments industry.  Specifically, this person will assemble client technical requirements, update the First Data client testing environments in preparation for client testing activities, and conduct thorough quality assurance, regression, and stress testing of the clients’ telecommunications, online, and/or batch interfaces.  The Telecom Analyst ensures that clients’ technical interfaces are production-ready, error free, and in compliance with Network processing standards and technical requirements prior to production installation as well as the scheduling/tracking and monitoring of critical customer dates.  The Telecom Analyst supports the client and/or the clients’ vendors through all phases of technical readiness and aids and assists the clients in preparation for testing; this includes maintaining testing logs and scripts and acting as the lead on resolving technical issues for and with clients’ and their vendors.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Maintain, manage and implement network and voice related infrastructure needed to meet the production and day to day operational needs.
  • Manage multiple network solutions, using different infrastructure, simultaneously.
  • Ability to know the infrastructure well enough to anticipate the company's needs and manage tasks in order to make them a success.
  • Ensure effectiveness of Corporate WAN, LAN, DNS and Cisco voice sevices and coordinate with the proper management based on global defined standards.
  • Support and implement short and long term strategic plans to make certain network/telecom capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Responsible for supporting the provisioning of strategic telecom services.
  • Monitor and identify capacity and performance plan for telecom traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of data and telecomsystems.
  • Implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network/telecom resource administration and appropriate use.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, access and backup for enterprise wide network and voice infrastructure.
  • Participate in project related tasks during any M&A activities, divestitures and new deployments of sites.
  • Manage system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures.
  • Ensure optimal operations  of infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, call management systems, voice mail, interactive voice response and video conferencing systems.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision makers, stakeholders, department heads and end users regarding pertinent network activities.
  • Work alongside a contingent of global network/telecom managers, supervisors, analysts and technicians and when necessary to resolve issues and support ITs SLA and goals related to Mean Time to resolve and repair.
  • Support the process for analysis, diagnosis and resolutions of data and telecommunications problems for end users; oversee and implement corrective solutions.

Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, a full understanding of the basic functionality and uses for Cisco and JBM (wireless) routers, must know how to use and design in Visio and have familiarity with Microsoft Access.
    • Knowledge of transaction routing and processing for both issuing and acquiring end-points, knowledge of LAN/WAN, TC/PIP, routing protocols, load balancing, network diagnostics, network technologies and knowledge of transaction routing and processing for both issuing and acquiring end-points. 
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Strong technical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
    • Must be detail oriented, demonstrate good time management skills, display good follow-up skills
    • Be a self-motivated, reliable individual with the ability to deliver on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Able to apply presentation skills
    • Mentoring / Training Skills
    • Must be able to manage telecom related projects as part of a team and as an individual contributor and implementer
    • The ability to work under minimal supervision, managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong understanding and ability to create of plan/ schemes for client telecom solutions
    • Make independent decisions and apply proper telecom decision-making as necessary to maintain business integrity
    • Coordinate requests between clients, vendors, service providers, FIS and implementation and project team(s)
    • Communicating detailed information accurately 
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the EFT or banking industry required with telecommunications & prior work experience with provisioning, troubleshooting, ATM and POS transaction processing knowledge, two years of project coordination experience and knowledge of system analysis and intermediate telecom concepts strongly desired.
    • College degree in Business Administration is preferred.
