  • Overview

    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Sr. Technical Operations Analyst to be responsible for performing analysis of on-going maintenance activities and improvements of the NI implementation processes. The person will provide support on product functionality and implementation processes to NI resources, clients and third party vendors. Possess knowledge in all aspects of the core switch processing including hardware and auxiliary applications. Serve as technical escalation for highly visible, significant, switch processing issues with emphasis on swift, accurate resolution. Provide management with timely, accurate internal communication of significant processing events and executive management communication as required.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide, create and maintain Network Implementation processes and procedures to ensure that quality practices are embedded and utilized as directed.
    • Serve as technical contact between CO-OP Financial Services and switch data processor acting as credit union escalation point and advocate for problem identification and resolution
    • Provide training and technical support to team members, co-workers and various CO-OP departments
    • Provide advisory services to other Network Implementation resources, clients, business development and vendors regarding CO-OP products and the implementation of those products
    • Play a role in internal and enterprise-wide projects with a focus on incorporating quality practices into the project.
    • Conduct audits of implementations to ensure that procedures are followed to comply with regulatory and recognized industry standards.
    • Participate in CO-OP Financial Services Product Teams as assigned and learn, train and develop knowledge in the functionality and implementation of existing products.
    • Sustain a highly detailed technical knowledge of the switch processing environment
    • Analyze network mandates, focusing on identification of certification requirements. Update certification scripts.
    • Identify and document training materials as required for new or modified process, product and procedures; facilitate internal training and knowledge transfer as applicable.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), but a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a 4 year college or university in business or related field is preferred.
    • Must have seven to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years previous leadership experience.
    • We are looking for someone with demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills, process and quality improvement skills and basic knowledge of information technology concepts. Certification in Quality Management Processing or equivalent is preferred.
    • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in the EFT industry is also preferred.
    • The individual must have thorough knowledge of ISO 8583 message standard, knowledge of switch processing and FIS Connex technology along with excellent PC knowledge including basic word processing, WordPad (or) Notepad and spreadsheet skills.
    • This individual must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate and translate between business and technical requirements across all areas and levels at CO-OP Financial Services and with credit union Executive Management along with proven customer service and presentation skills.
    • Must have proven analysis and problem solving skills, training skills preferred and ability to coach and mentor staff as directed.

    • Must possess ability to work with others and on their own, manage multiple projects and respond to unexpected interruptions while still meeting required deadlines.
    • Must be able to deal with workload peaks without compromising standards, be detail oriented, display good follow-up skills, and demonstrate a positive team attitude and able to react to change productively while demonstrating the ability to lead others in technical environment.
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
