  • Overview

    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Business Analyst IV to be responsible for identifying the tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand business process, structure, policies, and operations of the organization with the goal of helping deliver new and enhanced processes, products, and services. Assist in formulating recommendations that enable the organization or business unit achieve its goals.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Proactively pursues development opportunities and show expected progress on learning plan.
    • Actively supports CO-OP’S strategic future, culture and leadership practices.
    • Coordinate projects and deliver proper documentation.
    • Provide leadership in the evaluation of proposed solutions, ensure initial unit testing of all changes is completed, and further asses the deployed solution to ensure delivered results meet the needs of the business and or client.
    • Communicate effectively, consistently and iteratively with internal business partners and clients to ensure the understanding of appropriate business processes, requirements, and project timelines.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related major, or comparable work experience.
    • 10+ years’ experience serving as key liaison to other departments that have specific business functions.
    • 10+ years’ experience collaborating with departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
    • 10+ years’ experience planning, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
    • 10+ years’ experience facilitating requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.
    • 10+ years’ experience performing current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
    • 10+ years’ experience producing timely and high quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications, process flows, mock-ups and wireframes.
    • 10+ years’ experience answering questions and clarify requirements for projects and enhancements during the project and product development process.
    • 10+ years’ experience coordinating tactical-related business requests for IT development enhancements.
    • 10+ years’ experience understanding the relationships, dependencies and impact of neighboring business functions.
    • 10+ years’ experience documenting, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.
    • 10+ years’ experience collaborating with other departments and IT to develop business cases associated with new project requests.
    • 10+ years’ combined experience with both traditional Waterfall SDLC and Agile / Lean methodologies.
    • 8+ years’ effective planning, scheduling, coordinating medium to large projects, meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects concurrently.
    • 8+ years’ SQL skills and experience with Sequel Database Query Analyzer. 
    • 8+ years’ experience planning, facilitate and execute system / functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements.
    • 5+ years’ experience training and mentoring others in business analysis tasks and responsibilities.
    • 5+ years’ experience in modeling / mapping as-is and to-be business processes.
    • 5+ years’ experience in test planning, test case development and execution.
    • Working knowledge of a variety of technologies and platforms, including legacy midrange, client / server and web services.
    • Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms.
    • Experience with Microsoft Project, Office and Visio.
    • Ability to evolve into a subject-matter expert who can easily liaise between IT and other departments.
    • Ability to become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
    • Understanding of core business processes is a plus.
    • Experience with the Atlassian JIRA is a plus.
