    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Business Analyst II to be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and control technology-based projects that are moderately complex and/or medium to large in scope, budget and impact.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Knowledge of business requirements and scope development.
    • Coordinate projects and deliver proper documentation.
    • Develop working relationships with internal business partners and project team members.
    • Proactively pursues development opportunities and show expected progress on learning plan.
    • With limited or no supervision use methods of elicitation to identify and understand our stakeholders needs, concerns and understand the environment in which they work.   
    • Assist in the development of moderate business, technical, scope and requirements documentation for applications, systems, databases, and reporting. 
    • Help prioritize and refine requirements in a way that meets the needs of the organization and its clients in a timely manner. 
    • Assist in the evaluation of proposed solutions, provide initial unit testing of all changes, further asses the deployed solution to ensure delivered results meet the needs or the business and or client.
    • Documents and designs solutions in such a way that exceeds regulatory requirements.  
    • Communicate consistently and effectively with internal business partners to understand appropriate business requirements.
    • Assist project team members in developing scope and requirement documents.  
    • Assist project team members in the development of project estimates.
    • Identifies development opportunities and works with manager to establish learning focus and learning plan
    • Manages learning plan and reports on progress at quarterly coaching sessions with manager

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related major, or comparable work experience.
    • Three to Five years’ experience serving as key liaison to other departments that have specific business functions.
    • Three to Five years’ experience collaborating with departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
    • Three to Five years’ experience planning, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
    • Three to Five years’ experience facilitating requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.
    • Three to Five years’ experience performing current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
    • Three to Five years’ experience producing timely and high quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications, process flows, mock-ups and wireframes.
    • Three to Five years’ experience answering questions and clarify requirements for projects and enhancements during the project and product development process.
    • Three to Five years’ experience coordinating tactical-related business requests for IT development enhancements.
    • Three to Five years’ experience understanding the relationships, dependencies and impact of neighboring business functions.
    • Three to Five years’ experience documenting, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.
    • Three to Five years’ experience collaborating with other departments and IT to develop business cases associated with new project requests.
    • Three to Five years’ combined experience with both traditional Waterfall SDLC and Agile / Lean methodologies.
    • 3+ years’ effective planning, scheduling, coordinating medium to large projects, meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects concurrently.
    • 3+ years’ SQL skills and experience with Sequel Database Query Analyzer. 
    • 5+ years’ experience planning, facilitate and execute system / functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements.
    • 1+ years’ experience training and mentoring others in business analysis tasks and responsibilities.
    • 1+ years’ experience in modeling / mapping as-is and to-be business processes.
    • 1+ years’ experience in test planning, test case development and execution.
    • Working knowledge of a variety of technologies and platforms, including legacy midrange, client / server and web services.
    • Experience with Microsoft Project, Office and Visio.
    • Experience with the Atlassian JIRA is a plus.
