  • Overview

    Our Configuration and Control Analyst will be responsible for managing, leading and performing the duties and activities associated with daily configuration and control of the Canadian credit, debit, and loyalty platforms on the First Data Platform. This position is also responsible for execution and delivery of project activities to onboard new clients, perform changes for existing clients or enhance the Canadian card processing platform. 


    • Subject matter expert and lead for the Canadian configuration and controls on the first data platform.
    • Develops and tests end to end user test cases related to card platform.
    • Identifies issues that may occur within the testing process and work to resolve the issues with the vendors in a timely manner to ensure critical project timelines are met.
    • Develops, writes and manages associated procedures, manuals, documentation internally and externally.
    • Leads coordinator and contact for third party Canadian card platform contacts.
    • Mentors and coaches for the development of others and actively pursues opportunities for enhanced knowledge on Canadian platform and card systems.

    • Experience with First Data Resources (FDR) or other third parties, direct operational system modifications and clarification of system/PCF settings.
    • Understanding of card processing platforms, financial systems including infrastructure, architecture and technology with high degree of experience with the First Data card processing platform.
    • Demonstrated experience in researching, analyzing and identifying and implementing solutions to resolve production issues.
    • Working knowledge and experience in user testing and testing methodologies.
    • Experience in issue identification and resolution in a card processing or financial environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in solving complex business problems down to the root cause.
    • Ability to learn new processes and gain data understanding quickly.
    • Ability to work independently with some direction from senior members of the team.
    • Ability to write communication in both technical and user-oriented language.
    • Ability to troubleshoot business process changes, errors, and subsequent modifications while working with the team.

    This position will be located in Des Moines, IA but will need a valid passport for travel to Canada.
