  • Overview

    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Sr. Portfolio Development Consultant (Technical Advisor) role to create automated strategies to assist clients with portfolio growth, specifically for developing rules within FD’s ACS product set to create risk and credit line management strategies.



    • Work with clients to understand their needs and offer suggestions in managing profitable card programs, while mitigating risk.
    • Manage client requests, new client set-ups, while consulting with credit union partners on how to best implement new risk and line management strategies.
    • Utilize various tools within the First Data system to best benefit our clients in combatting fraud losses.
    • Complete research and investigations into current industry standards, fraud trends, and limiting client losses on potentially negative accounts.
    • Respond to any/all inquiries from clients in a timely, professional and accurate manner.
    • Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients.
    • Facilitate reviews with clients regarding their settings and overall strategies.
    • Develop methods to track setting and strategy performance and offer suggestions when changes are needed.

    • Experience with First Data ACS, Payment Defender, Collections, Ability to Pay, and DataLink.
    • Knowledge of card industry fraud and related risk characteristics and trends.
    • Strong independent problem solving skills and inherent decision making abilities.
    • Financial institution operational experience desirable.
    • Meeting with clients to interpret strategic needs to create system rules to assist with client needs.
    • Preparing reports on services performed for clients; delivering reports where appropriate and discussing results and recommendations with client.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • PC skills, including understanding of the First Data system and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Offer consultative, client-focused approach.
