    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Security Analyst II to be responsible for administering security policies to control access to systems and prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-Commerce applications. This role will work with a variety of internal and external vendors to ensure the effective detection, response, mitigation and reporting of cyber threats affecting networks, systems, mobile devices and critical data.


    • Maintain security configurations for routers, switches and firewalls and for using applicable encryption methods.
    • Provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.
    • Works with the Enterprise Security Officer to coordinate responses to information security control testing and scans, audits and assessments and implement practices to optimize this process across the organization.
    • Participate in the creation and maintenance of an incident response plan and business continuity plan.
    • Participate in supporting and expanding the security awareness training program to ensure information security best practices are communicated and the employees are formally trained.
    • Maintain a knowledgebase on the latest information security threats and countermeasures.
    • Assist in development and deployment of enterprise information security strategy, as well as deployment, administration, configuration, and support of security related systems, policies, and procedure management.
    • Provide tier 1-2 escalation path for resolving security incidents.
    • Use tools and techniques to collect, analyze and aggregate data loss prevention, security information event management, privileged account management, encryption.
    • Research, develop and keep abreast of tools, techniques and process improvements in support of security detection and analysis.
    • Drive process improvement and control implementation projects in coordination with the other Enterprise Information Service Teams.

    • High School Diploma or GED, along with 4 or more years of IT technical experience with 1-2 years experience in IT security and a Certification in IT Security or several IT security courses/classes successfully completed.
    • Must have experience with malware analysis platforms and how to quickly assess severity along with monitoring and automating security controls experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
    • Preferred Certifications: CISSP/CISA/CISM. Project management experience is also preferred. 
    • intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP protocol, network/packet analysis and intrusion detection/prevention, working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems, Fortinet and/or Cisco firewalls along with basic knowledge of NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, PCI DSS and SOC standards and basic knowledge of related technologies such as Tenable Nessus, Security remediation analysis and Tripwire.
    • Excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills, good customer service skills along with the ability to communicate, both written and verbal, with a variety of end users possessing a range of technological skills.
    • Must have the ability to develop and present professional documents in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Visio and have the ability to work as part of a team, which may be virtual, global.
