  • The Opportunity

    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Director of Network Services who is responsible for the overall end-to-end life cycle management of the company's Client and Enterprise Network for corporate systems and complex high-volume financial systems in a multi-datacenter / multi-client environments. This position is required to lead, develop, and support the Network Engineering, Client Telecom Delivery and Network Services teams in the delivery and support of scalable infrastructure systems and services. 


    Network Services are integrated within CO-OP’s Enterprise Technology and Services (ET&S) organization and responsible for the lifecycle management of the network infrastructure, delivery of Client Connectivity over a nationwide Managed Service Network, active participation in Project Delivery, and administration and management of Network Services vendors and budget. Developing and implementing strategic, technical, and operational network/infrastructure architectures that are properly aligned with business goals and objectives.




    • Manages, coordinates and prioritizes the schedules, projects and activities of direct reports.
    • Develops the support structure of the organization, managing and developing existing staff as well as recruitment.
    • Coordinates the implementation of security tools and secure infrastructure architectures to support transaction processing and internal initiatives, and implementation and support of transaction processing systems. 
    • Works closely with the leaders on the Infrastructure team developing the strategy for the future direction of the company’s Enterprise technology services, supporting all Business Units.
    • Responsible for managing network technology vendors for routers, switches, and firewalls: professional/managed service vendors for network implementation support, unified call center manager, local access integrator.
    • Develop and execute DR/BC and Continuous Process Improvement Plans for both Client and Enterprise networks.
    • Reviews computer security incident reports and anomalous activity of network and ensures ongoing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
    • Responsible for creating, maintaining dashboards that monitor network availability, uptime, usage and associated KPIs.
    • Participate in key corporate audits for PCI and NCUA, ensure network access measurements are compliant with industry standards and compliance requirements.
    • Participates in major new system implementations projects to ensure that appropriate network access and controls are built prior to production cutover.
    • Conduct daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reviews of strategic vendors.
    • Build Best Practices and Continuing Process Improvement programs with internal teams and strategic vendors
    • Develop Board-level metrics for Network and Security of key DR/BC, PCI and other compliance issues for both internal teams and external vendors.
    • Liaises with other information technology groups in investigation and resolution of incidents.
    • Ensures ongoing system and network health checks on identified high risk network segments, systems, and applications and follow up remediation.
    • Ensures the monitoring of intrusion detection and security information management systems to discover and mitigate malicious activity on networks.
    • Works with Security team(s) on Security Remediation issues.
    • Manages team to conducts root cause analysis for operational network issues.
    • Lead the Network Engineering teams in the architecture design, build, implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure.
    • Manage the phone system vendor including service levels and delivery of system changes, upgrades and IVR support.
    • Acts as a catalyst for change to improve processes that benefit the organization.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or 10 or more years equivalent experience including at least 5 years of relevant supervisory experience required.
    • In depth knowledge of PCI/NCUA audits, and other industry audits.
    • Advanced knowledge of network processes, network management.
    • In depth knowledge of Access Technologies MPLS, Wireless, DSL, VPN, Private Line, SD/WAN and broad knowledge of backbone network technologies.
    • In Depth knowledge of network technologies including routers, switches, load balancers, protocol accelerators, routing protocols such as BGP and HSRP.
    • Advanced knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Package Contact Center Enterprise (PCCE).
    • In depth knowledge of ATMs, Data Encryption, Payments Industry, Telecom Industry and Networking Technologies Industry.
    • In depth knowledge of large and/or complex project management processes and project automation.
    • Broad knowledge of operating systems and hardware platforms.
    • Vast knowledge of Enterprise Systems and Network Management.
    • Advanced Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure.
    • Broad knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Project Management.
    • Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel to build comprehensive analytic models for operations and project.

    • Must have the ability to work with individuals of all levels with varying technical skills. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
