  • The Opportunity

    CO-OP Financial Services provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Database Administrator ll to play a key role in delivering value to the organization through the design, development, testing, and maintenance of database solutions. The person in this role works to create and maintain a state-of-the-art database environment that meets current and future business objectives.




    • Analyze and evaluate reported problems, take responsibility for resolution, and prevent recurrence.
    • Develop, implement, administer, and maintain, logical and physical data models to support business, performance, reliability, and security requirements.
    • Develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, and support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
    • Tune data warehouse and other database systems for optimal performance and reliability.
    • Perform index and statistics maintenance.
    • Optimize and manage database backup and restore schedule.
    • Develop, implement, administer, and maintain operational automation scripting.
    • Participate in the on-call support rotation.
    • Self-starter with the ability to initiate, complete, and oversee required tasks with limited oversight.
    • Maintain technical documentation related for the data warehouse and other database systems.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • Intermediate knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL, MS SQL Server 2008 R2 – 2016, networking concepts, and database design and development.
    • Programming knowledge in the following languages: Transact-SQL (T-SQL), PowerShell, C# .NET, VB.NET.
    • Fundamental software development methodologies, design and implementation.
    • Knowledge of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
    • Intermediate knowledge of database backup concepts, query optimization, and data security.   
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. Demonstrate the following skills: high-level of productivity, excellent written and verbal communication skills, team player, positive inter-personal skills, self-motivated and
    • independent thinker.
    • The ability to write fully optimized Transact-SQL for various scripts and stored procedures is essential.
    • Four or more years of experience in Database Administration managing multiple servers across different geographic locations.
    • One or more years of experience in Database Analysis.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    • Involvement with the SQL Server Community, membership in PASS, and active in SQL Server forums or newsgroups shows initiative and a desire to learn.
