    We are seeking a talented SVP, Corporate Strategy & Business Performance Management to work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and the CO-OP Executive Team to lead development of CO-OP’s Corporate Strategy.  This leader will also work with the Executive Team to identify, gather and synthesize key measures that will validate CO-OP’s progress against critical short term initiatives and long term strategic objectives.        

    What You Can Look Forward to

    • Lead CO-OP’s Corporate Strategy development, including the annual Strategic Planning cycle with CO-OP’s Executive Team.
    • Develop supporting analysis identifying new markets and key initiatives that will drive CO-OP’s short and long term strategic and financial objectives.
    • Partner with the Chief Product Officer organization and other CO-OP functions to ensure product development supports Corporate Strategy.
    • Participate in CO-OP’s PDLC process and provide thought leadership to CO-OP Senior Management team to support strategy development throughout the organization.
    • Lead CO-OP’s Business Performance Management function to identify, gather and synthesize key measures that will validate CO-OP’s progress against critical short term initiatives and long term strategic objectives.
    • Synthesize disparate quantitative and qualitative data points across the entire CO-OP organization into summary findings and actionable recommendations for the Executive Team.
    • Ensure the CEO & Executive Team are aligned on progress towards all strategic, financial, people and operational imperatives.
    • Support and own special projects as needed.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • 10+ yrs. experience within the financial services industry or management consulting demonstrating consistent growth in responsibilities and accomplishments.
    • 7 years of working experience in a strategy management position in a fast paced and dynamic business environment, including experience overseeing activities of a strategy management team.
    • Experience in strategic planning and analysis, market research, competitive intelligence, and corporate business development.
    • Experience developing business cases to support early stage product development process as well as potential new market or partner evaluation.
    • Successful track record of developing and driving growth initiatives and identifying business opportunities.
    • MBA Required.
    • Understanding of the financial services industry and associated consumer products.
    • Knowledge of corporate strategy development.
    • Familiarity with acquisitions process, diligence process, valuation analysis.
    • Knowledge of product management best practices.
    • Will be a strategic and creative thinker, result-driven, self-motivated and proactive.
    • Can quickly and intuitively grasp how external market changes and internal capabilities intersect to create new opportunities or present risks.
    • Will demonstrate strong leadership skills, having an ability to focus the leadership team in a unified direction and drive action against immediate performance gaps.
    • Strong problem solving skills and can demonstrate an innovative approach.
    • Must be able to excel in a constantly evolving environment.
    • Must possess strong financial analysis and modeling skills for the purpose of exploring of strategic options, developing creative solutions to complex issues and for the support of decision-making.
    • Must be able to deliver presentations to senior strategy management leadership, executives, and stakeholders.
    • Ability to represent CO-OP to relevant organizations inside and outside the credit union system.
