    We are seeking a talented Corporate Dev & Strategic Relationships Director to support the company’s corporate development efforts and is responsible for analyzing potential acquisitions in existing and new markets. Participate in the due diligence process once the company enters into negotiations with target companies. Support the company’s strategic drivers by designing and implementing models for assessing the strategic and financial fit, and potential risk/reward of acquisition opportunities. Help identify and leverage industry, demographic and other relevant trends to develop forward-looking business strategies.

    What You Can Look Forward to

    • Gather data and perform analysis regarding key companies, categories, geographies and industries to identify relative strategic fit with current business.  Develop effective tools to quickly determine which are a strong fit for CO-OP.
    • Identify, investigate and analyze potential new business and acquisition opportunities. Monitor markets, industries and organizations with potential strategic and acquisition interest.
    • Prepare detailed financial modeling/valuation analysis for acquisitions and other strategic investments.
    • Perform market assessment, co-op fit, competitive/customer implications, high level 3yr revenue and cost estimates, immediate staffing needs to move forward.
    • Support the company’s corporate development efforts and is responsible for analyzing potential acquisitions in existing and new markets.
    • Participate in the due diligence process once the company enters into negotiations with target companies.
    • Support the exploration of growth and other strategic priorities across the enterprise.
    • Assess market trends and implications for CO-OP based on through comprehensive research and data analysis. Contribute to assessments through analysis and documentation of findings
    • Prepare presentation materials for Corporate Strategy senior leadership.
    • May Participate in the annual strategic planning process and development of detailed operating plan.
    • May take the lead on strategic projects and develop action planning for key initiatives.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • 5+ yrs. experience within the financial services industry demonstrating consistent growth in responsibilities and accomplishments.
    • Experience with mergers & acquisitions, diligence process, valuation analysis.
    • Experience developing business cases to support early stage product development process as well as potential new market or partner evaluation.
    • Proven track record of working with clients and partners to develop existing relationships as well as new business opportunities.
    • Understanding of the financial services industry and associated Payments Industry and products.
    • Knowledge of mergers & acquisitions process, diligence process, valuation analysis.
    • Knowledge of Strategic Planning, Forecasting.
    • Must be able to lead and execute on strategic initiatives.
    • Excel in both communication and analysis and can quickly and intuitively grasp how new products, complementary business models, and creative transaction structures could impact Co-Op from a strategic and financial perspective.
    • Ability to represent CO-OP to relevant organizations inside and outside the credit union system.
    • Excellent project management skills.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to present analysis in a impactful and concise manner.
