    We are seeking a talented Supervisor, Database Administration to provide expert level guidance, planning and design, development and maintenance of the SQL Server infrastructure.  Position helps ensure databases are secure, scalable, compliant and optimized for end-user performance.  Leads all DBA staff, mentors other DBAs and acts as a Data Management liaison.

    What You Can Look Forward to

    • Provides leadership and guidance to all DBA staff.
    • Builds strong internal and external partnerships.
    • Plans, designs, puts in place strategies for the development, implementation and maintenance of database systems.  Includes strategies for monitoring, optimization, clustering, and backups.  
    • Plans and designs MS SQL Server implementation and configuration with emphasis on security and optimization of resources and performance. Ensures consistency between data management, enterprise storage and all other technical system components.
    • Advocates policies and procedures to help ensure the security, compliance and integrity of database systems.
    • Leads and participates in the resolution of issues around database performance, capacity issues, and other database and infrastructure issues.

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

    • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Data Management, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent training and/or experience.
    • 7-10 years of experience with information technology programs and services, with at least 5 years demonstrated expertise in enterprise data management and related technologies.
    • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services, enterprise data management, information security, applications development, and cloud-based architectures.
    • Evaluate and advocate professional growth and development for database administrators and overall team.
    • Responsible for Daily Standup/Huddles with the DBA team.
    • Responsible for DBA team’s workload management.
    • Conduct employee reviews.
    • Responsible for skillset analysis of the DBA team.
    • In-depth knowledge of database design and SQL Server.
    • Experience in Database high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
    • Experience with Agile methodology and DevOps principles.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to communicate effectively.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional project team environment.
    • Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot. Data modeling tools such as ERwin, Toad Data Modeler, E/R Studio, etc.
    • Expert T-SQL, SQL, PL/SQL.
    • Generate visualizations of simple to complex processes.
    • Able to explain technical concepts in a concise manner to non-technical users.
    • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Visio.
    • Advanced communication skills and customer relationship skills.
