We are seeking a talented Data Project Team Lead I (Agile) to lead agile project teams developing strategic data initiatives for COOP, insuring their successful delivery within expected delivery dates. The DPTL will manage team ceremonies, boards, shape positive team behavior, and help remove obstacles. The DTPL will work closely with product and business partners to organize the team’s work and schedule according to priorities. The DPTL will be responsible for updates to CO-OP management and departments, and participate in project, stakeholder, product launch, etc., meetings, as needed.

What You Can Look Forward to

  • Act as an Agile leader to the data development team.
  • Shape team behavior through management via the agile method.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, and sprint retro, review and planning meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing.
  • Be responsible for updating and maintaining the team’s digital (and physical) agile board.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, and program owners.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders, program owners, and participate in stakeholder meetings.
  • Document team progress and communicate project updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Remove project obstacles and develop solutions with team.
  • Provide input on team member performance to management.
  • Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle.
  • Work with product owner to develop backlog.
  • Take responsibility for successful product delivery.
  • Participate in launch teams for product launches.
  • Interface with other development teams and areas within CO-OP to ensure successful end-to-end project delivery.
  • Interface with vendors involved in the project to insure successful engagement, by helping to set expectations, monitor vendor work, provide status updates, and call out and help rectify issues, if any.
  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or equivalent job experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading development project teams using Agile methodologies.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a data or reporting analyst is a plus, but not required.
  • 3+ years’ experience leading teams delivering data/reporting projects preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master or Product Owner a plus.
  • Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops or similar tools.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of reporting and data visualization best practices.
  • Financial industry knowledge.
  • MS Office skills.
  • Ability to lead large data-driven projects.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and lead others in the technology area.
  • Ability to identify and set best practices for the Agile team.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
